This Usage Policy ("Policy") describes how Users are permitted to access and use the hipPitch platform, website, and mobile application (collectively, the "Platform"), operated by Sciome World Corp., a.k.a. hipPitch ("hipPitch," "Company," "we," "us," or "our").
This Policy is incorporated by reference into hipPitch's Terms and Conditions and must be read in conjunction with the Terms and Conditions, Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy, User Agreement, and any additional community standards or policies made available by hipPitch.
By accessing or using the Platform, you ("User" or "you") agree to use the Platform only in the manner described in this Policy. Unauthorized, abusive, unsafe, deceptive, unlawful, or otherwise improper use of the Platform may result in content removal, feature restrictions, suspension, or permanent termination of your Account.
hipPitch maintains a zero-tolerance policy for objectionable content and abusive or harassing behavior. Users who violate this Policy may be removed or permanently banned from the Platform where appropriate.
hipPitch is a video-first professional platform designed to help individuals — including job seekers, students, creators, entrepreneurs, and professionals (collectively, "hipsters") — present themselves authentically, build meaningful professional connections, and create opportunities through the power of video.
The Platform is intended for lawful, professional, educational, creative, networking, and career-related use consistent with hipPitch's services.
Users may not use the Platform in a manner that is unlawful, abusive, exploitative, deceptive, dangerous, harmful to others, or inconsistent with this Policy or hipPitch's Terms and Conditions.
Users are permitted to use the Platform for the following purposes:
Creating and maintaining a professional profile, including a headshot, bio, professional background, and other information supported by the Platform;
Recording and publishing a hipPitch (up to 90 seconds) to introduce yourself to potential employers, investors, collaborators, educational institutions, customers, or other viewers;
Recording and publishing a Long Pitch (up to 10 minutes) to provide a more detailed professional, academic, creative, or business presentation;
Generating and sharing your personal hipPitch URL on job applications, college submissions, sales outreach, creator profiles, business proposals, resumes, social profiles, and similar professional contexts;
Uploading or creating User Content that accurately represents the User and complies with this Policy and all applicable Platform rules.
Discovering and connecting with other hipsters and Viewers on the Platform in a professional, respectful, and lawful manner;
Engaging with other Users' content through comments, reactions, messages, sharing tools, and other interaction features in accordance with the Platform's rules;
Building a professional network relevant to your career, education, business, creative work, or other legitimate professional interests;
Reporting inappropriate content or abusive behavior through the Platform's Report or Flag functionality;
Blocking Users where interaction with them is unwanted, inappropriate, abusive, or otherwise concerning.
Registering for and maintaining an Account with accurate and up-to-date information;
Managing your profile, notification preferences, privacy settings, blocked Users, and subscription plan through your Account settings where such functionality is available;
Managing security settings and taking reasonable steps to protect your Account credentials;
Contacting hipPitch's support, legal, or moderation teams for assistance with your Account, User Content, reports, billing, or Platform features.
Subscribing to an eligible Paid Plan to access enhanced Platform features;
Accessing premium features only while the User has a valid and active entitlement;
Managing, upgrading, downgrading, restoring, or cancelling a subscription in accordance with hipPitch's Terms and Conditions and the applicable purchase provider's rules;
Using premium features only for their intended lawful purposes and in accordance with applicable plan restrictions.
Users are authorized to access the Platform solely through the following officially supported channels:
The hipPitch web application at hippitch.net;
The hipPitch mobile application on iOS and Android, as made available through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store;
Any other official channel, integration, service, or application expressly authorized by hipPitch.
Users may not access the Platform through unauthorized software, modified clients, malicious tools, scripts, bots, or other mechanisms intended to circumvent Platform protections or restrictions.
Access to core Platform features may require a registered Account.
Users must use their own Account credentials to access the Platform and may not sell, rent, transfer, sublicense, or knowingly share Account access with another person except where expressly permitted by hipPitch.
Users may not create or use another Account for the purpose of evading a suspension, restriction, block, moderation decision, or permanent ban.
Users are responsible for ensuring that their device, browser, operating system, and internet connection meet the technical requirements necessary to access the Platform.
hipPitch does not guarantee Platform availability on all devices, operating systems, geographic regions, application-store storefronts, carriers, or network configurations.
Where required by the Platform, Users must review and affirmatively accept hipPitch's applicable Terms and Conditions, EULA, or other required legal terms before completing registration, logging in, or otherwise gaining access to relevant Platform functionality.
Users who do not accept the applicable terms may not proceed with registration, login, or use of the applicable Platform features.
Users may submit, upload, record, publish, transmit, display, or otherwise make content available on the Platform — including video pitches, profile information, images, headshots, comments, messages, text, and other materials ("User Content") — subject to the content standards set forth in this Policy and hipPitch's Terms and Conditions.
All User Content must be lawfully owned, licensed, or otherwise authorized by the User.
Users are responsible for ensuring that their User Content does not violate applicable law, intellectual property rights, privacy rights, publicity rights, contractual rights, or other rights of any person or entity.
By submitting User Content, Users grant hipPitch the license described in the Terms and Conditions.
All content, software, designs, trademarks, branding, interfaces, graphics, functionality, and other materials made available on the Platform by hipPitch ("hipPitch Content") are owned by or licensed to hipPitch and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
Users may view and interact with hipPitch Content solely as permitted through the Platform.
Users may not reproduce, copy, distribute, modify, reverse engineer, sell, license, exploit, or create derivative works from hipPitch Content without hipPitch's prior authorization, except where applicable law expressly permits such use.
Users may view, react to, comment on, and share other Users' content only through the features provided by the Platform and only in a lawful and respectful manner.
Users may not download, reproduce, redistribute, sell, exploit, impersonate, misrepresent ownership of, or otherwise use another User's content outside the Platform without authorization from the content owner or another lawful basis.
Users are solely responsible for User Content they upload, create, publish, communicate, or share through the Platform.
The availability of User Content on hipPitch does not mean that hipPitch endorses, verifies, guarantees, or approves that content.
hipPitch maintains a zero-tolerance policy for objectionable content and abusive, harassing, threatening, bullying, exploitative, or otherwise harmful behavior.
Users must not create, upload, publish, transmit, distribute, promote, encourage, or engage with User Content or conduct that violates this Section.
Users who engage in serious or repeated violations may have content removed and may be restricted, suspended, or permanently banned from the Platform.
Users may not upload, publish, send, distribute, promote, or otherwise make available content that:
Threatens, harasses, bullies, intimidates, stalks, abuses, humiliates, or targets another person;
Encourages, glorifies, coordinates, or threatens violence or physical harm;
Promotes hatred, discrimination, or degrading treatment based on protected or personal characteristics;
Contains pornography, sexually explicit material, sexual exploitation, non-consensual sexual content, or other prohibited sexual material;
Exploits, sexualizes, harms, grooms, or otherwise endangers minors;
Encourages suicide, self-harm, dangerous challenges, or serious physical injury;
Promotes or facilitates human trafficking, exploitation, blackmail, extortion, coercion, or similar abuse;
Promotes terrorism, violent extremist activity, or criminal organizations;
Contains fraudulent, deceptive, manipulative, or materially misleading information intended to harm or exploit others;
Impersonates another person or falsely represents affiliation, identity, credentials, employment, education, qualifications, or authority;
Violates intellectual property, privacy, publicity, confidentiality, or other legal rights;
Contains malicious code, malware, viruses, phishing material, or other content intended to compromise Users, devices, networks, or systems;
Contains spam, scams, deceptive solicitations, fraudulent opportunities, or unauthorized commercial communications;
Is obscene, excessively graphic, seriously offensive, or otherwise inappropriate for a professional platform;
Facilitates criminal or unlawful activity;
Violates applicable law; or
Otherwise creates a serious safety, security, fraud, abuse, or legal risk.
Users must not:
Harass, bully, intimidate, threaten, stalk, exploit, or abuse another User;
Send repeated unwanted messages or communications after another User has clearly indicated that contact is unwanted;
Circumvent another User's block by creating another Account, using another person's Account, or using alternative Platform functionality;
Encourage others to target, harass, threaten, or abuse another person;
Coordinate mass harassment, malicious reporting, or other abusive campaigns;
Knowingly submit false, retaliatory, malicious, or fraudulent reports;
Attempt to manipulate or evade hipPitch's moderation, filtering, blocking, or enforcement systems;
Repeatedly upload content that has already been removed for policy violations.
hipPitch may use automated systems, technical filters, keyword or pattern detection, machine-assisted review, human moderation, administrative review, User reports, or other mechanisms designed to identify and address prohibited or objectionable content.
Filtering or moderation may occur:
Before User Content becomes publicly available;
After User Content has been posted;
Following a User report;
Following automated detection;
During an Account, safety, fraud, or policy review.
hipPitch may temporarily limit the visibility, sharing, recommendation, discoverability, or accessibility of content while it is under review.
No moderation or filtering system can identify every violation.
hipPitch does not guarantee that objectionable or prohibited content will always be detected before another User encounters it.
Users are encouraged to use the Platform's reporting and blocking tools whenever they encounter potentially inappropriate content or behavior.
Users may not intentionally bypass, disable, interfere with, manipulate, evade, reverse engineer, or otherwise circumvent Platform moderation, filtering, safety, abuse-prevention, or enforcement mechanisms.
Users may use the Platform's Report or Flag functionality to report:
Objectionable User Content;
Harassment, bullying, abuse, threats, or intimidation;
Fraud, scams, impersonation, or deceptive activity;
Illegal or dangerous content;
Privacy or intellectual property concerns;
Spam or malicious behavior;
Other conduct believed to violate this Policy or hipPitch's Terms and Conditions.
Where in-app reporting is available, Users should use the applicable Report or Flag option associated with the relevant content, profile, Account, communication, or interaction.
Users may also report concerns to hipPitch at support@sciomeworld.com.
Reports should include enough information for hipPitch to reasonably identify and review the reported content or Account.
hipPitch will use commercially reasonable efforts to review reports involving objectionable content or abusive behavior promptly.
Where action is warranted, hipPitch will use commercially reasonable efforts to take appropriate moderation action within twenty-four (24) hours after receiving the report.
Depending on the nature and severity of the violation, hipPitch may:
Remove or disable access to User Content;
Limit content visibility or distribution;
Issue a warning;
Restrict messaging or interaction features;
Temporarily suspend an Account;
Permanently ban an Account;
Prevent further interaction between Users;
Preserve evidence or records where required;
Refer serious threats or unlawful activity to appropriate authorities where legally required or reasonably necessary;
Take other reasonable measures to protect Users, third parties, and the Platform.
Submission of a report does not guarantee a particular outcome.
Users may use the Platform's Block User functionality to stop or restrict interaction with another User.
When a User blocks another User, hipPitch will take reasonable technical measures designed to restrict interaction between the blocking User and the blocked User.
Where applicable to the Platform feature involved:
The blocked User's content should immediately stop appearing in the blocking User's feed after the block has been successfully processed;
Direct messaging or similar interaction may be restricted;
Profile interactions, comments, reactions, notifications, recommendations, or discovery may be limited;
Other interaction features may be restricted as technically appropriate.
A block, particularly when combined with a report or other indication of inappropriate behavior, may be recorded and made available to hipPitch's moderation or administrative team for review.
Blocking another User does not automatically remove that User or their content from the entire Platform unless hipPitch determines that a violation has occurred.
Users may not attempt to circumvent a block through additional Accounts, alternate identities, third-party Accounts, or other Platform functionality.
Attempts to evade blocking restrictions may result in suspension or permanent termination.
hipPitch maintains a process for reviewing reports, suspected policy violations, abusive behavior, objectionable content, and other safety concerns.
Review may involve:
Reported content;
Related User Content;
Account information;
Relevant messages or interactions;
Platform records;
Automated moderation signals;
User-submitted evidence;
Other information reasonably necessary to assess a potential violation.
Where hipPitch determines that reported content violates this Policy, hipPitch may remove or disable access to the content.
hipPitch will use commercially reasonable efforts to remove or disable access to reported objectionable content within twenty-four (24) hours after receipt of the report where removal is warranted.
Where a User engages in serious or repeated violations, hipPitch may restrict, suspend, or permanently remove the offending User from the Platform.
Conduct that may result in permanent removal includes, without limitation:
Serious harassment or threats;
Repeated abusive behavior;
Sexual exploitation or harm involving minors;
Credible threats of violence;
Fraud or serious deceptive activity;
Repeated posting of objectionable content;
Attempts to evade suspension or bans;
Other serious violations of this Policy or applicable law.
hipPitch may take immediate action without prior notice where necessary to protect Users, prevent harm, secure the Platform, comply with law, respond to urgent safety risks, or address serious misconduct.
The hipPitch format is designed for concise, high-impact personal or professional introductions.
Users agree to use this feature only for authentic, lawful, and good-faith self-presentation.
The following apply:
Available to eligible registered Users as communicated by hipPitch;
Must represent the User's identity, experience, professional background, education, or qualifications accurately;
Must comply with all User Content and conduct rules in this Policy;
May be shared through the User's personal hipPitch URL on external platforms, applications, and communications where permitted.
The Long Pitch format is designed for more detailed professional, academic, creative, or business presentations.
Users agree to use this feature only for substantive, accurate, lawful, and non-objectionable content.
The following apply:
May be available only to Users on eligible subscription plans;
Must accurately represent the User, business, service, opportunity, project, or subject matter being presented;
May not be used to misrepresent business opportunities, employment opportunities, financial projections, qualifications, investment potential, or other material information;
Must comply with all content and conduct requirements in this Policy.
Users may use the Platform's headshot feature to generate or upload a professional profile image where available.
Headshot content must:
Represent the User lawfully;
Not use another person's likeness without appropriate authorization;
Not be deceptive, impersonating, sexually explicit, abusive, hateful, fraudulent, or otherwise prohibited;
Comply with the Platform's applicable content standards.
Each User may be assigned a unique personal hipPitch URL.
Users may share this URL in lawful professional, educational, creative, and personal contexts, including resumes, LinkedIn profiles, email signatures, job applications, business proposals, portfolios, college submissions, and other appropriate uses.
Where the Platform provides sharing, embedding, messaging, invitation, or referral features, Users may use such features only for lawful and permitted purposes.
Users may not use Platform sharing features to distribute:
Spam;
Unsolicited abusive communications;
Fraudulent offers;
Objectionable content;
Malicious links;
Content that violates this Policy or the Terms and Conditions.
When sharing hipPitch content on external platforms, Users remain responsible for compliance with the terms, rules, and community standards of those external platforms.
hipPitch is not responsible for independent actions taken by third-party platforms in connection with shared hipPitch content.
Each Paid Plan is associated with the applicable User Account and may not be sold, rented, shared, sublicensed, or transferred except where expressly permitted by hipPitch or the applicable purchase provider.
Access to premium features is contingent on maintaining a valid entitlement.
Users agree to use premium features — including analytics tools, enhanced Pitch functionality, priority placement, additional limits, and matching features — in good faith and for their intended purposes.
Systematic, automated, abusive, fraudulent, or unauthorized exploitation of premium features is prohibited.
Users on a free plan are subject to the feature and usage limitations applicable to that plan.
hipPitch may modify free-plan functionality from time to time, subject to applicable law and the Terms and Conditions.
Where required by Apple's applicable App Store rules, eligible digital content, premium functionality, subscriptions, or digital services accessed within the iOS or iPadOS application may be offered through Apple's In-App Purchase system ("Apple IAP").
Users must use the authorized purchase process presented within the applicable version of the Platform.
Users may not:
Manipulate purchase receipts or subscription data;
Circumvent payment or entitlement verification;
Fraudulently obtain access to premium functionality;
Use unauthorized tools to unlock Paid Plan features.
For subscriptions purchased through Apple IAP, subscription management and cancellation are handled through the User's Apple Account and Apple's applicable subscription-management functionality.
Deleting the hipPitch app or ceasing to use the Platform does not necessarily cancel an active Apple subscription.
For subscriptions purchased through other authorized methods, Users must follow the cancellation procedures provided by the applicable purchase provider or hipPitch.
Where supported, Users may use a Restore Purchases function to restore eligible Apple In-App Purchases or subscription entitlements associated with the User's Apple Account.
Users may not attempt to restore, duplicate, transfer, or claim purchases that they are not authorized to use.
hipPitch may verify purchase or subscription information to determine whether a User is entitled to premium features.
If a purchase or subscription is cancelled, refunded, revoked, expired, reversed, or otherwise invalidated, associated premium access may be removed or restricted.
Where supported, Users may upgrade or downgrade between subscription tiers.
For Apple subscriptions, upgrade, downgrade, renewal, proration, and billing effects may be determined through Apple's applicable subscription systems.
Users must not intentionally create overlapping or duplicate purchases for fraudulent or abusive purposes.
Any access to hipPitch's data, services, systems, or infrastructure through an application programming interface ("API"), automated tool, script, bot, scraper, crawler, or other programmatic means requires hipPitch's prior authorization unless the functionality is expressly made available for such use.
Unauthorized API access, scraping, data harvesting, automated Account activity, security testing without permission, or other automated collection is prohibited.
Authorized developers and integration partners must comply with any separate developer terms, API requirements, security rules, technical guidelines, rate limits, and data-protection obligations issued by hipPitch.
Users may not:
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to another Account, Platform system, database, server, network, or administrative interface;
Probe, scan, test, bypass, or exploit Platform vulnerabilities without express written authorization;
Introduce viruses, malware, ransomware, spyware, malicious code, or harmful files;
Interfere with Platform operation, availability, performance, or security;
Manipulate ranking, recommendations, analytics, engagement, reporting, or moderation systems;
Use fraudulent payment methods or manipulated purchase records;
Harvest personal information without authorization;
Use the Platform for phishing, credential theft, identity theft, fraud, or other malicious activity.
hipPitch may restrict or terminate access where activity poses a security, abuse, fraud, or operational risk.
hipPitch reserves the right to modify, update, improve, restrict, suspend, replace, or discontinue features, functionality, content, plans, or other aspects of the Platform.
Where reasonably practicable or legally required, hipPitch may provide notice of material changes.
hipPitch shall not be liable for modifications, suspensions, or discontinuations except where liability cannot lawfully be excluded.
hipPitch reserves the right to update, amend, supplement, or replace this Policy.
Changes will become effective on the date stated in the updated Policy.
The current version will be available at hippitch.net/app/content/usage-policy.
hipPitch may provide notice of material changes through email, in-app notification, Account notice, or another reasonable method.
Where affirmative acceptance is required by applicable law, Platform requirements, or hipPitch's Terms and Conditions, Users may be required to review and accept the updated terms before continuing to use relevant Platform functionality.
Continued use of the Platform after an updated Policy becomes effective constitutes acceptance where legally permitted.
